Description
The Control & Instrumentation Engineer shall execute all Control & Instrumentation engineering activities within the boundaries defined by the Company’s authority limits, or as delegated by the Discipline Manager. The Control & Instrumentation Engineer shall undertake design and engineering deliverables including calculations, risk assessments, sketches, MTO’s in a safe and productive manner, and deliver projects and/or packages on time, in-line with all contract specifications, achieving full client satisfaction and meeting all quality and commercial key performance indicators (KPI’s), whilst maintaining good relationships with all stakeholders and colleagues. The Control & Instrumentation Engineer will demonstrate full understanding of and
adherence to all relevant Engineering Procedures, Policies and Standards, and their practical application.

Commercial & Risk
- Inform project manager / line manager of potential project risks identified in a timely manner.
- Work within allocated Cost Estimate or man hours.
- Demonstrate clear understating of the commercial status of projects, identify and manage changes and understand and manage own budget.
- Work to agreed project plan and/or help develop project milestones.
- Act as an ambassador for EFAB, always presenting the right image to existing and potential clients.
- To attend meetings and forums, representing the Company.
- Assist in the estimating of engineering work packages and development of proposals and other Business Development activities as required from time-to-time.
- Forge links and establish communication with clients and stakeholders.

Knowledge, Experience & Qualifications
- Experienced Engineer
- Build effective working relationships at all levels.
- Educated to a minimum of HND or Degree level.
- Can communicate skills, knowledge and experience, and apply them professionally as a trusted expert, to explain ideas and technical information and discuss and resolve technical issues.
- Act as an ambassador for positive culture.
- Full clean driving licence.
- Occasional flexible working required.
- Occasional lone and/or home working required.
- Some UK travel.
- In-depth technical knowledge of relevant legislation, standards, guidelines. systems and processes.
